Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. So the movie is kind-of OK. It is more a collation of scenes and dialogues and scenery than a coherent, connected movie. But that’s ok, ‘coz anyone who’s watching has more than likely read the book already. Did notice though, that people other than bollywood stars can’t act. Voldemort lacks the punch, he is like a side-actor reciting a few lines from a notebook, and so on.

However, the best part of the movie, is the way the story of the three brothers is narrated. Shadow-puppetry mixed with animation makes for awesome effects. And the invisibility cloak shown then is eye-catchingly beautiful.

That’s about it, then. Oh, and the ‘Maut ke Tohfe’ is the real title of the hindi version. Makes more sense than ‘Hallows’, I must say!

ETA: The director’s idea of a dark movie is one in which light fixtures are used sparingly. He must have saved a huge amount on electricity bills.
